Antioch is a place where opportunity lives and Monica Wilson has helped Antioch live up to this. As a student concerned about climate change and the dire health impacts of the new oil and gas drilling, it was really empowering to have Monica quickly and passionately support myself and local youth in organizing a climate rally, and later completely ban drilling in Antioch. Besides being an advocate for sustainability, social justice, and future generations, Monica is a voice for our community. She will compassionately listen and addresses the concerns of her people. Monica will quickly respond to messages and take time to meet with you like she did with me. I wholeheartedly endorse Monica Wilson re-election to Antioch’s City Council and am proud to have her representing our community.
My Name is Devin Williams and I am Endorsing Council Woman Monica E. Wilson for District 4. I endorse Monica because she has a deeply rooted understanding about the housing crisis in our city, and she believes housing is a human right. She has supported the campaign for housing justice by coming out to rallies organized by myself and my ally organizations, she has gone on record saying she supports rent control, just cause for evictions and an anti-harassment ordinance. Monica has heard and agreed with several renters and tenants in Antioch who are affected by this disparity. Having Monica remain in office would secure future ambitions surrounding this topic and this is why I support her.
GO MONICA!!!
Monica has a long history of supporting the Park District’s efforts to preserve open space along Empire Mines Road and to help grow Black Diamond Mines Preserve and Deer Valley Regional Park for the Antioch community.
